Chris and Bob report intermittent sun and South Westerly wind at Port Fairy.
The only riders still coming from Hall's Gap are Paulo Bagatini, the extrordinary Brizileno, riding a mountain bike which noone else can even lift, and Rowan Burns, the Taswegian for whom these conditions should be fairly normal, if no easier. YThe cut off time is 1.39pm, so still lots in reserve.
Times in and out, all am Thursday. Leigh 0.30 Ken 6.47 Paul 3.35 Mal 0.38 6.55 Rob 7.00 Adriaan 6.47 Larry 5.25 Charlene &.oo Peter H 1.10 6.06 Ian 6.47 Shaun 0.45 6.55 Scott 2.04 John Evans 3.45 Matthew 1.20 Ian Humphries 5.35

News from Port Fairy is that Ian Boehm, Ian Humphries, Rob Gray and Charlene Barach are still sleeping, will head off by lunchtime. Rowan Burns had still not arrived. Unfortunately the gallant Paulo has had to pull out at Hamilton after 800km.
The 300 km riders have left Port Fairy on their way back to Anglesea, minus Ray and Gary, who for various reasons could not start.
Only Stephen Chambers is attempting the 600, he arrived at Port Campbell 173km at 5;50am and left at 6;30am. Melissa Friesen decided that the appalling conditions on the Great Ocean Road last night meant she would struggle with the time limits. So she will be in Anglesea to welcome back her husband Scott.

Correction to the last post, the 400km riders left Anglesea on their way to Cobden minus Ray and Gary. Conditions at Port Campbell are intermittent showers but clearing, still a strong south westerly to buffet the riders heading south from Cobden, but then blow them home.
