Along picturesque Bassnet Road on the way to Humbug Scrub. Front shockers essential for this one. Lot's of climbing, and a few challenging sections on the fire tracks! Maybe a mountain bike? 43% dirt - The Wet Mouse is a slightly modified route to the Dry Mouse, that can be more easily ridden after or during rain. It avoids the red clay roads. It takes you on an easy, flat GG ride to Freeling. A fast start along the Stuart O'Grady Bikeway, and then quickly onto the roads running between the gently rolling paddocks to the west of Gawler. (Time; 8hr 24min)

The Wet Rat (41% dirt) - is a modified version of The Rat. It avoids red clay roads and also the fording of the Light River. Delightful scenery via very quiet back roads between paddocks and past cute, cluttered, and/or majestic homesteads. The time allowed is based on an average speed of 12.5km/hr for the full 164km = 13hr 7min.

The scarp starts shortly after up to the very pretty John Forrest National Park. some lumpy bits through Parkaville, Chidlow, Wooroloo & your at the world famous Bakers Hill Pie Shop befor you know it. Small section on Great Eastern Hwy before the turn off to Toodyay & quiet roads again. Toodyay has cafes, bakery & pub but dont stay to long as Julimar Rd awaits & its best done with warm legs! Nice big decent into Bullsbrook, thats the hills done hoorar! Flat fast section on the Great Northern Hwy soon sees you into the Swan Vally Wine Region, before picking up the cycle path back to the finish
