    A 50km ride around Lake Burley Griffin and through the parliamentary triangle to the Old Parliament House and Parliament House.  Mostly bike paths and on-road cycle lanes.

    There are plenty of cafes (and a brewery) enroute if you have time for coffee, or a beer.

    Starting at Hobart Cenotaph and out and back course on the Inter-City Cycleway. Turnaround at the end of the cycle way. Continue on to Taroona, turn around point is just past the Old Taroona Pub. Plenty of coffee shops and supply places on this flat and easy 50.

    BP Pub to Pinnacle Salamanca Place Hobart

    Start Location; Salamanca Place Hobart, Tasmania 7000 Australia

     

    This 50 km ride starts at the famous Salamanca market. From here you follow some quieter roads out of the Hobart CBD, onto the lovely Hobart Rivulet Track which is only a few km from the CBD but is a full-on bushland setting (some easy unsealed sections), and then the Mount Wellington pinnacle will be in full view in front of you. The climb is tough and relentless, but the views along the way, and from the top are unforgettable. Be fully prepared for all seasons in one day. The weather on the pinnacle can change suddenly. You can get water in the Wellington Park BBQ facilities directly across from the Ferntree Tavern, further along at The Springs (740m ASL), and further along at The Chalet (1000m ASL) as well as toilet facilities at the very top (1,200m ASL). Be very careful of the narrow mountain road (Pillinger Drive) with often heavy tourist traffic. Descend precipitously back to Ferntree, and further on turn right into Chimney Pot Road, heading towards aptly named Ridgeway, then a further precipitous drop along the also aptly named Waterworks Road. From here you are taken through parts of Battery Point and the Hobart docks before returning to Salamanca for a well earnt beer at one of the many local pubs. Because of the numerous turns it is strongly suggested you take some form of GPS if you are not familiar with the ride. Bonne route.

    Ride from the Banjo’s Bakery in Sorell to Opossum Bay, travelling past scenic beaches and coastal views along the way including Seven Mile Beach, Roches Beach, Lauderdale, South Arm and Opossum Bay.

    A route for those of us who who like to avoid hills. A mixture of cycle paths, main roads and highways. Starting at Hobart Cenotaph and out on the Inter-City Cycleway, joining the Lyell Highway at Granton and continuing until just past New Norfolk (coffee shops, MacDonalds and multiple other fast and slow food options at New Norfolk. Return to Hobart back the way you came, a loop out to Taroona and back.

    BP MANDURAH-DWELLINGUP-MANDURAH 100 MANDURAH TRAIN STATION

    Start at the Mandurah train station taking the farmland quiet backroads towards Pinjarra. The short sharp climb up North Spear Rd gives us great views across the scarp & Alcoa refinary. The old timber town of Dwellingup has several cafes, shop or the pub to cater for your needs.The next bit is the fun section with more down hill than up as you are coming back down to the flat lands. If you have time to spare, stop and look over the bridge at the longest conveyer belt in the southern hemisphere! DelPark Roadhouse brings you to the bottom of the scarp & Lakes rd with its flat road back to mandurah. Tailwind home will have a big smile on your face, headwind home & its a little challenging with no where to hide.
