This event has been cancelled due to lack of interest.
A new route and a new overnight venue this year for something a little different. We follow the Tasman Hwy to the stunning east coast. Up to St Helens then back to St Marys where we have 3 rooms (twin beds) booked at the historic hotel. You'd need to be a fast rider to order a pub meal but there is a kitchen and our hard working volly will be there to feed and assist you. Back down the Midlands Highway in the wee early hours to avoid the traffic to the almost-gone township of Melton-Mowbray then up to the booming highlands town of Bothwell and finally the Lyell Highway into Hobart.
A small drop bag will be available at the hotel. Hotel details: 40 Main St, St Marys, 0450 540 989. The hotel is already fully booked so a strict limit of 5 riders (+ vollie) will apply.
Please allow 10 minutes at the start for mandatory lighting check. You will need to demonstrate TWO INDEPENDENT sets of front & rear lights, and be wearing a reflective garment.
A cue sheet and GPX & TCX files (combined and for each day) will be available soon.
As a courtesy to the single volunteer the fastest and slowest rider will need to SMS their anticipated arrival time for St Marys and Hobart.
